Joy wakes up for her early morning snack.
After which, on any other day, we quietly settle back into bed for another hour or two of blissful rest before getting up for the day. But not on this day.
With a wiggle and a shriek Joy announces that we will be staying up the rest of the morning...

It is as if she knows today is a holiday. And if it is a holiday, we most certainly do things differently!
After all, do we not eat a less than healthy breakfast courtesy of Daddy (pancakes with LOTS of butter and syrup with eggs! YUM!) and have him stay home? And what does it mean when Daddy stays home?!

Therefore, it must be a holiday! And we must be up earlier than most days to enjoy the whole of it!

ReplyDeleteOh sweet little Joy! She had a great 4th didn't she? I was on call so I spent 3/4 of the day at the hospital, but I had a fun barbecue and swimming, too! xoxoxo
